Actress of cinema, theatre and Italian television, she is known for her bright physical presence joined to an unique sense of irony.

Born in Bari, Italy, as a child she moved to Rome with her family. Her father served in the Navy.

As a child she experienced her first contact with the world of entertainment when RAI (Italian network) broadcast a children's choir in which she was a member, then soloist. Prof.Renata Cortiglioni directed the group, which was broadcast from the RAI centre of Asiago.
